One of LA's most popular holiday traditions is ice skating at the various outdoor rinks throughout the city. Take advantage of the beautiful Los Angeles winter weather and get a tan as you skate on a sunny afternoon. Or you can bundle up and enjoy the crisp night air while skating under the stars. Just remember the rules of the rink and enjoy the holidays.

Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square (Nov. 16, 2023 - Jan. 7, 2024)

The Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square returns to Downtown LA for its 2023-24 season on November 16 and runs daily through Jan. 7, 2024. Framed by skyscrapers and adorned with festive holiday lights, LA's largest outdoor ice skating rink spans 7,200 square feet and welcomes more than 54,000 skaters and 450,000 spectators annually.

Pricing is $20 per person (all ages) for a one-hour session. Skates are included with admission. Figure and hockey skate sizes range from toddler’s size 8 to adult’s size 15. Guests can also bring their own ice skates. Lockers are available to rent for $5. They are large enough to hold a couple of pairs of shoes, a medium-size handbag and a few small purchases. For beginning skaters under 48" tall, Skate Helpers ($6) glide with the skater along the ice and help with balance and control.

Private parties are available on select Mondays and Tuesdays during the 5:30pm and 7pm sessions on or before December 12. The rate for a private party is $5,000. Sessions are not open to the public if sold to a private party.

The 2023 season will kick-off with the annual Icebreaker Opening Celebration at 5pm on Thursday, November 16. The kickoff event will feature special performances, entertainment and the Downtown LA Tree Lighting Ceremony.

LA Kings Holiday Ice (Nov. 24 - Dec. 31, 2023)

The annual LA Kings Holiday Ice brings outdoor ice skating to L.A. LIVE on Peaco*ck Place, in front of Crypto.com Arena. Gather with friends and family, or enjoy a date night before and after a game or concert! The LA Kings Holiday Ice rink will open on Friday, November 24 and run through New Year's Eve.

General Admission tickets are $25 and only sold on-site at the rink. Pricing includes skate rental and admission. Discounted tickets are $20 for Children (ages 6 and under), Seniors (62 and over), Military with ID (up to 4 guests) and LA Kings Season Ticket Members (up to 4 guests). A limited number of Fast Pass tickets ($45) will be available daily at the L.A. LIVE website.

Ice at Santa Monica (through Jan. 15, 2024)

Each year, Downtown Santa Monica transforms the corner of 5th Street and Arizona Avenue into Ice at Santa Monica - the 8,000 square-foot outdoor ice skating rink brings a winter wonderland to the beachside community and has become a beloved annual tradition. Hours of operation are Sundays through Thursdays 11:30am to 9:30pm; and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30am to 11pm. Admission is $22 for a one-hour skating session and includes skate rental. A multi-session day pass is $30 and allows guests to skate from 1pm - 5pm on select dates. Lockers are available to rent for $5.

Themed events take place on Wednesday nights, including ABBA Disco Night (Nov. 15), Pride Night (Nov. 22), Holiday Pet Pageant (Nov. 29), Ugly Sweater Night (Dec. 6), Taylor Swift's Birthday (Dec. 13) and ¡Y soy Rebelde! on December 20.

Ice Fantasy Skating Rink (through Jan. 7, 2024)

Now open in Old Torrance, the Ice Fantasy Skating Rink features a state-of-the-art synthetic ice rink, which guarantees smooth and safe skating, whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned skater. The family-friendly outdoor ice skating experience includes music on the PA and snacks and treats like popcorn, nachos, cookies and hot chocolate. Pricing for a one-hour session is $16 for Adults, $14 for Children, and $!5 for Seniors & Military. Group rates available.

Skating in the Park - Rancho Palos Verdes (2023 TBA)

Taking place at the Ken Dyda Civic Center in Rancho Palos Verdes, Skating in the Park features outdoor ice skating on a synthetic ice rink, surrounded by palm trees with amazing views of the Pacific.
