Now that the Eclipse have been taken care of near Barren Light, Aloy must now follow the coordinates she found on Rayad's body. It is the only way to stop the return of Eclipse in the Forbidden West.

Go to the Eclipse Hideout Coordinates

The information from Rayad’s Focus proved to be very useful as it gave Aloy the coordinates of the main Eclipse base in No Man's Land. Follow the trail south of Barren Light, deep into the west. It is a long trip, and as you travel you will see many different settlements, like Stone’s Echo, a Relic Ruin, and a Cauldron (MU).

Kill the Eclipse

There is only one entrance into the Eclipse base and it is heavily guarded by Eclipse guards and Scrappers. As Aloy approaches, she discovers that the Eclipse is using Utaru captives to excavate a nearby ruin. Aloy must kill the Eclipse before getting into the main base. You can either do this stealthily, taking out the Guards and machines with little commotion, or you can charge right in. Either way, they must be dealt with and the Utaru captives must be freed.

As you are taking out the Eclipse be aware that there are plenty of places to hide and there will be snipers up on the towers. The area is small, so it won’t take much time at all to take out each Eclipse member. The Scrappers will be a little bit of a challenge, but they go down quickly with Silent Strike.

Talk to the Utaru Prisoner and Enter the Eclipse Hideout

After Aloy clears out the entrance to the main base she meets a young Utaru named Yef. He tells her all he knows about Vezreh and the Utaru captives. He is a good source of information, so be sure to select all dialogue options.

Once Aloy is done talking with Yef, go to the left of the fortress door and take the ladder up. Keep going left and around. Take out any Eclipse and machines you come across. Eventually, you will reach a dead-end and will see a hole in the wall to the right. Go through the hole and jump down. Here you will see some Eclipse guards as well as machines patrolling the area. You will hear Vezreh talking to his people over loudspeakers.

Make your way around this open area, taking out the Eclipse and machines. There are plenty of places for stealth cover as you take out each Eclipse guard. There is also a large hanging pallet on a crane that you can shoot down to damage the Longlegs. There are also a few caches that you can loot. Be careful with the Longlegs as they can cover ground quickly if you are shooting them from afar. There are places all around the base that have grapple points if you want the high ground.

Find Vezreh and Free the Captives

There aren’t many guards here so it should take you little time to get through them. Once you have taken out the guards, head towards Vezreh’s inner base. His base entrance can be found to the left of where you first entered. There is a little archway to go under that will lead you to the door. Open the door and enter.

To your immediate left, you will see more Utaru captives locked up in a cage. Release them. Keep going left until you reach the door to Vezreh’s chamber. Before you enter the chamber, be sure to loot the cache next to the door as this will unlock vertical traps for you. Vertical traps are very useful against flying machines.

Enter Vezreh's Chamber

Enter the chamber and you will see Vezreh continuing his speech. Aloy interrupts him and after a little back and forth the battle starts. You will not fight Vezreh immediately, instead, he will send his Ravager after you. You will need to defeat the Ravager first before you can take a shot at Vezreh.

Kill the Ravager

Ravager Machine Guide

The Ravager is a midweight combat machine that is weak against Purgewater and Acid damage. It is strong against Frost and Shock damage and has a variety of different weapons and attacks at its disposal. It also has the following components:

  • Ravager Cannon: This is a fast-firing weapon that can hit ranged targets. It is located on the back of the Ravager. If you detach it, it will disable the attack, but you can also use the Canon against the Ravager.
  • Sparker: There is a Sparker located on the Ravager's leg that can explode when damaged by Shock ammo.
  • Glowblast Canister: There are Glowblast Canisters located on the Ravager's back that will explode if it is damaged by Plasma ammo.
  • Antenna: The Ravager has an Antenna on its backside that it can use to call reinforcements. You can detach it to disable this ability.

The Ravager will prove to be a challenge, but keep aim at the Cannon to disable its primary attack. Aim at both the Glowblast Canister and the Sparker for additional elemental damage. Go for cover if you see it powering up to shoot its Cannon.

Kill Vezreh

After the Ravager is close to defeat, Vezreh will join the fight. He has a railgun that does a lot of damage. There are containers that you can use for cover, but don’t stay in one spot for too long as his railgun can easily destroy your cover. After every railgun barrage Vezreh has to stop and reload; use that time to attack either at range or up close and personal. Vezreh’s weak spot is his head, so aim for that as much as you can.

Once you have defeated Vezreh, he will try to blow Aloy up. A cutscene will show Aloy making her escape. After getting out of the chamber, Yef will show up to help Aloy.

Investigate Vezreh's Chamber and Talk to Yef

With Vezreh dealt with, Aloy can search his chamber for any information. You can scan three Audio Datapoints that will reveal Vezreh's plans for Eclipses’ return. One datapoint will be in a small room to the left of the bed. There is a vent you will need to remove to access the room. Use your Pullcaster to open the vent up. The other two datapoints are easy to find.Use Aloy's Focus to help you pinpoint their location. Vezreh's chamber is only the two rooms, so you won't be looking for long.

After gathering information, talk to Yef and let him know that the Utaru are safe from Eclipse.
