Official Greenville Roleplay (2024)

The Official Greenville Roleplay, commonly referred to as Greenville Roleplay, OGVRP, or GVRP is an official roleplay community owned by milk7418O and handled by RebelliousRebeI. It is for Greenville players who want to have stricter, realistic roleplay, without any Fail-Roleplay.

The Greenville Roleplay is managed in the OGVRP Discord Server, which is a tradition since the Original Greenville Roleplay. As a result, you have to be over 13 years old as required by Discord rules. In order to join Greenville Roleplay, you have to pass an application. In order to join a roleplay session, you have to be in the OGVRP Roblox group, as you'll be whitelisted to join the private server. There are also other roleplay discords such as Wanny's Greenville Roleplay, Blubber's Greenville Roleplay, etc.

OGVRP

Originated from its predecessor, the Original Greenville Roleplay ran by AfflictedSim, commonly referred to AfflictedSim's GVRP a YouTube star in Greenville Community, (His YouTube channel has gone private) went very popular among Greenville Community, briefly got officialized by Greenville owners. However, after AfflictedSim stepped back off the ownership, the new single owner and fellow founder Saykes, the toxicity rose within the Original Greenville Roleplay. AfflictedSim stepped back in to disband the troubled server. Most of the roleplayers and staff moved to Official Greenville Roleplay after disbandment.

Roleplay Terminology

Peacetime

Peacetime is enabled when there is little to no emergency services available within the server. When peacetime is enabled, everyone must abide by all laws and legal regulations. Criminal activity cannot be committed at this time. Some things you cannot do while peacetime is enabled includes:

• Robbing the bank
• Breaking your neighbor's window with a brick for playing loud music
• Running a red light, even if you blame it on brake failure
• Showing off your street skills in a Ford Mustang

Fail Roleplay

Fail Roleplay (colloquially known as FRP or fail RP) refers to the state of disregard of actions that consequentially follow as a result of actions taken within a roleplay, or by performing actions that contradict the realistic nature of a roleplay. Examples include:

• Speeding down a road at over 120 MPH (193 km/h)
• Breaking free from handcuffs with voodoo powers.
• Summoning a toilet, then saying that it made that Trooper you were running from crash into a ditch
• Putting a Hellcat engine in a school bus, then using it to participate in illegal drag races
• Smashing a 2015 Ramsey 50 at 200 MPH (320 km/h) with exploits into the daycare

There are FRP speed benchmarks which vary depending on peacetime status/priority status. Travelling above these benchmarks constitutes FRP. FRP rules vary based on the roleplay discord for Greenville.

• [70 MPH] when peacetime is on. It is advised to follow the posted speed limit.
• [85 MPH] when peacetime is off.
• [95 MPH] when you have priority.

Combat logging

Combat logging involves removing your own character from an (undesirable) scenario, such as by resetting your character or leaving the game. Examples include:

• Getting boxed in by 4 cruisers, then resetting your character
• Smashing your router with a hammer and a chainsaw with the intent to avoid an undesirable roleplay scenario or leaving the game to avoid arrest
• Smashing into a Prius with a feisty owner, then leaving the game
• Leaving the game in the middle of a scenario just because your mom said dinner's ready.

Please ensure you are not in any scenes before leaving the game. If you are in a scene and its an absolute emergency to leave, you must contact a staff member and they will let you leave the session.

Priority

Priority is when you create a large scene with mass involvement of emergency services. Staff members are free to offer priority at any point in the game. Those seeking priority must follow specific steps provided in-game.

Only people with priority may cause scenes which warrant extreme involvement of emergency services (for example, a bank robbery). Having priority does not permit one to:

• travel off-road
• travel towards oncoming traffic / drive the wrong way
• crash into people at speeds more than 30 mph (48 km/h) and drive off (hit and run)
• fail to roleplay vehicle damage such as popped tires
• switch cars, respawn the vehicle, or modify vehicle characteristics arbitrarily,
• do any banned scenario

Restricted role

Restricted roles require specialized training in order to join. These usually have their own formal structure, namely to emulate the hierarchies found in their real-life counterparts.

Such teams include:

• Greenville Fire Department
• Wisconsin State Patrol
• Outagamie County Sheriff's Office
• Wisconsin Department of Transportation

Likewise, some vehicles are restricted to those in certain roles. Some include:

• Fire Department vehicles
• Law enforcement vehicles
• Security vehicles (limited to purposes defined by law enforcement agencies)
• DOT vehicles
• Tires+ vehicles
• School buses (DOT training required)
• Taxis (DOT training required)

Banned Practices

Banned scenarios

Roleplays of the following nature are bannable:

1. Sexual Roleplay
2. Child Neglect
3. School Shootings
4. Narcotic Roleplay
5. Alcoholic Roleplay
6. Suicidal / Graphic Roleplay
7. Any type of Bomb Roleplay
8. Kidnapping
9. Murder
10. Domestic violence / abuse
11. Anything of similar nature not mentioned above

Committing too many crimes

You may not commit too many crimes within a short time period.

Cop baiting

Also known as 'scene baiting'. This involves abruptly committing a crime OR creating a scene solely to attract attention from law enforcement. Some examples include:

• Brake checking a cop to start a pursuit.
• Walking up to a cop doing a traffic stop and punching them from behind.
• Acting like a sovereign citizen.

Unrealistic avatars

Your avatar must be realistic before you start leaving the spawn area in our sessions. Users are not permitted to roleplay as an animal or perform actions that impersonate an animal, as it disturbs surrounding roleplays in sessions.

You are allowed to 'dress up' as an animal, provided the context makes sense (for example, a Halloween party).

Illegally spawning vehicles

Since vehicles do not appear out of thin air in real life, you can only spawn vehicles in certain places. These include:

• Your own house.
• Your friend's properties, provided they consent.
• Visit 24/7 Motel
• Apartments
• Tires+
• DMV
• Greenville Post Office (Employees may spawn their work vehicle when starting their shift, and their personal vehicle when ending their shift.)
• Hunty's Pizza Palace (Employees may spawn their work vehicle when starting their shift, and their personal vehicle when ending their shift.)

You may not spawn your vehicle outside the places listed above.

Downplaying the severity of an accident

Let's say you hit a stop sign (or any other inanimate object). Ideally, you:

1. call the city and offer to pay for damages, OR
2. notify the owner of the property, exchange information, and resolve civilly

Let's say you get into an accident at a speed of 30+ miles per hour - or an accident causing injury. You need to:

1. exchange insurances, THEN
2. take photos
3. call 911 (if needed)
4. contact your insurance (if needed)
5. get a tow truck (if needed)
6. do whatever else is needed in the context of the scene

You may not pretend it didn't happen.

Banned Vehicles

If you are seen driving one of these cars, you will get punished. If the vehicle has a “★” next to it, OGVRP nitro boosters may be permitted to drive them (see the OGVRP server for more details). Do note that this list could be outdated as new banned cars are added and removed from time to time.
